90pts, The Tasting Panel - "Smooth and juicy with spice, blackberry, raspberry and hints of earth; bright and balanced with toasty notes; balanced and long."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "Red dusty berry cobbler marks the entry to this estate wine co-fermented with 2% Petite Sirah. Milk chocolate, nutmeg and clove play supporting roles in this otherwise bright, food-friendly wine with measured oak impact."
According to Wine Spectator - "Sleek yet lean, with tart cherry, dill and cedar flavors. Drink now through 2019."
Tasting Notes - We co-fermented the Zinfandel with a touch of Petite Sirah to add complexity and structure, and then aged the wine in large oak casks so the flavors are well integrated but not overwhelmed by oak. This food-friendly Zinfandel’s pure flavors of strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of white pepper make it the perfect match for grilled meats, lasagna, pizza topped with tomato sauce and beef stews. 98% Zinfandel. 2% Petite Sirah. 14.5% ABV.
