Product Description

AG 94 WA 93 WS 90 Pts - According to Antonio Galloni - "The 2012 Grenache On the Road is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Fresh, vibrant and chiseled, the 2012 is laced with bright red cherries, plums, crushed rocks, mint and cinnamon. The flavors are a bit on the dark side for Grenache, but all the elements are in the right place. Sweet floral notes, cinnamon and mint add nuance on the seriously beautiful, vivid finish. The 2012 is a great example of winemaker Russell From's very personal approach."

According to Wine Advocate - "Made from 100% Grenache and aged 16 months in 40% new French oak, the 2012 On The Road is a blockbuster-styled effort that stays lively, elegant and fresh. Loaded with peppery herbs, licorice, earth and darker berry fruit, it’s unabashedly California and has fantastic purity and richness. Enjoy this beauty over the coming 4-5 years."

According to Wine Spectator - "Offers a firm, rich, dense medley of vivid blackberry, blueberry and wild berry flavors. This is well-structured, with lively acidity, chewy tannins and splashes of pepper and spice. Drink now through 2023." 100% Grenache.

Deep, dark, intense Grenache. Black cherry, black plum, red licorice overwhelms the palette, with a black pepper long finish. It has some noticeable heat with 16.2% ethanol.

Just opened a 2010, and it still needs time. So the 2012 should require a few more years.
