WS 93 JS 92 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - Deep aromas of licorice, cherry, rosemary, juniper and fresh earth give way to sweet fruit, tobacco and spices in this dense, complex red, which is persistent and stays focused on the long, mineraltinged finish. Sangiovese. Drink now through 2022.
According to James Suckling - Aromas of sliced plums, peaches and berries follow through to a full body, with silky tannins and a berry, toasted oak and cedar aftertaste. A little chewy and tannic now, but will soften with bottle age. Better in 2013.
Tasting Notes - Color - Very intense ruby red. Bouquet - Very complex with an explosion of ripe black cherries and small black berries; very spicy, white pepper, chocolate and tobacco. Flavor - Very structured and complex, great balance, everlasting finish. 100% Sangiovese. Rated 90+
