95 Pts - Decanter - Very immediate on the nose, with ripe summer fruit and hints of powder puff and pot pourri. Very young and intense but still a little unsettled on the palate, with some traditional oak aromas still to be assimilated, intriguing complexity and great potential. - Decanter
JS 90 Pts - According to James Suckling - This is a very solid and tight Chianti Classico with black cherries and sliced mushrooms. Full body, firm tannins and a medium finish. Solid as a rock. Needs a year or two to soften.
According to Wine Enthusiast - A bright, lively wine made from Sangiovese, it has classic varietal aromas of blue flower, red berries, spice and just a whiff of leather. The palate delivers ripe red cherry accented with hints of white pepper, clove and cinnamon alongside firm but fine tannins and fresh acidity.
According to Wine Advocate - The 2010 Chianti Classico (100% Sangiovese with aging in both barrel and stainless steel) is a steady and pretty wine with dried cherry, rum cake, leather and mild tobacco. The mouthfeel is streamlined, bright and shows fine tannic structure. This is the wine I most enjoyed in this tasting. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016.
According to Antonio Galloni - The 2010 Chianti Classico is quite pretty. Tobacco, flowers, plums and red cherries all take shape in a mid-weight, polished Chianti Classico with plenty of personality. The 2010 is just a bit rustic, but that is a relatively small critique for a wine at this level. On a more positive note, the 2010 has a level of freshness and vibrancy that would be great to see in the estate's other wines. Rated 90+
