According to Antonio Galloni - "Jasmine, honey, white peach and lychee wrap around the palate in the 2013 Viognier Bien Nacido Vineyard. There is a hint of residual sugar here as well, but the inherent richness and oiliness of Viognier seems to work better in that slightly off-dry style. Drink 2014-2016."
According to Wine Advocate - "Starting with the whites and a sweetly fruit, voluptuous expression of the variety, the 2013 Viognier Bien Nacido Vineyard has subtle apricot, ripe peach and hints of sappy green herbs/mint to go with a medium-bodied, easy-drinking style. Aged 6 months in 55% stainless steel and 45% in neutral barrel, it’s best consumed over the coming year or so."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "The 2013 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyard is quite floral and even tropical at this early stage. White flowers, pineapple, mint and chamomile flesh out in an attractive, mid-weight wine. With time, the typical honeyed notes will develop in bottle, but today the flavors are very much on the bright side."
Tasting Notes - "This Viognier has our classic full mouth feel and a clean, lingering finish. Sourced from the famed Bien Nacido Vineyard, we fermented and aged our 2013 Viognier in a combination of stainless steel and neutral French oak. Vibrant aromas of orange blossom and mango abound on the nose, with subtle notes of honey and lime. The tropical fruits persist on the palate, mingled with stone fruits and delicate minerality. Pair with fresh seafood: think mahi-mahi with tropical fruit salsa or seared scallops." 100% Viognier. 14.2% ABV.
