A true criterion of California viticulture, Caymus Vineyards and the Wagner Family of wines are synonymous with quality. The Special Selection Cabernet is the only wine to in the world to be named Wine Spectator's wine of the year twice. Chuck Wagner and his children produce a collection of wines that have a reputation for consistency and are produced from the premiere wine growing regions of California. The family thinks of themselves as farmers first, and their wines reflect their dedication to the land.

With the release of the 2013 Caymus Napa Valley we are again reminded of the quality of the entire portfolio. In addition to the newest release, we are offering a limited number of Wagner Family combo packs so that you can sample the excellent character of the wines.

Couldn't get your hands on the 2012 Anniversary Vintage? Get your hands on the 2013, production was much lower and the vintage will quickly disappear. "Deep red and opulent in color with the vibrant scent of dark cherry and blackberry, subtly layered with warm notes of vanilla. The palate is explosive, bright and balanced with cassis at the center, with flourishes of cocoa and sweet tobacco."

The 2012 vintage is the 40th Anniversary Bottling of the Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon and is very hard to acquire.

Smaller production than the regular Napa Valley Cabernet, the Special Selection sells out quickly, long before the next vintage release.

Opulent aromas of peach, apple, Meyer lemon and baking spices. A medley of peach and D’Anjou pear; layered with tropical notes of pineapple and banana. The vibrant acidity is well balanced by warm butterscotch and subtle coconut notes. A refreshing burst of minerality and well-integrated oak characteristics that offer a round, lengthy finish.
