New to Our Collection

Clendenen 2012 Tocai Friulano Santa Maria Valley                $14.95

Tasting Notes - "A crisp, dry, floral white with aromas of green almond, honey and honey suckle, and flavors of apple and pear. Elegance in a bottle." 13.5% ABV

The Dude 2013 Red Wine Napa Valley (Canepa Koch)            $25.95

Tasting Notes - After selling out each of the last three vintages in record time, "the dude" is back! The blend for 2013 consists of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. As we expand we are still focused on working with the same vineyards that have made our wine successful from the beginning. Once again the Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Atlas Peak and Rutherford. The remainder of the blend comes from the Oak Knoll AVA in the heart of the Napa Valley. "The dude" spent 16 months in barrel, where it was mated with 40% new French Oak. (Only 350 cases were produced)

Chester's Anvil 2012 Hattori Hanzo Napa (Lagier Meredith)   $37.95

According to The Bride - Plum, black truffle, red currant, toffee, cedar, wet rock, rich velvety tannins. Intense umami in the mouth with nori, truffle, coffee and black tea. 14.5% ABV. "What do you want with Hattori Hanzo?"

Pursued by Bear 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley $39.95

WS 93 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - Ripe and plush, with soft tannins around the generous currant and plum fruit, hinting at earthy spice as the finish lingers gently and expressively. This has depth and detail. With beautiful balance and soft, elegant tannins, the Pursued by Bear brings blackberry, blueberry and marionberry notes in the forefront. Bright notes indicative of a great Washington Cab. This wine is approachable now, but will lay down nicely for at least 8-10 years. 14.2% ABV.

I present you: The Old World

A little something for everyone, from a little bit of everywhere.

Nasiakos 2013 Moschofilero Arcadia Greece                    $15.95
Wine Advocate - "If a wine can capture the fine aromas of a field of fragrant flowers and a peach orchard, the pronounced flavors of dry mountain spices and the acidic tones of lemon zest as an aftertaste, Nasiakos Moschofilero is that wine."12.5% ABV.

Domaine Des Baumard 2011 Savennieres                         $19.95

WS 90 Pts According to Wine Spectator - "This has a nice caressing feel, with quince, Anjou pear, creme fraiche and green plum notes that all glide through the pure, minerally-framed finish. An echo of quinine adds length. Drink now through 2016."

Domaine La Tour Penedesses 2012 Languedoc Cuvee Antique                                                                                             $12.95

Tasting Notes - Sustained and deep garnet color. Red berry, black berry and cassis with hints of honey. There are also the flower of violet, touches of pepper en retro-olfaction, leather and licorice combine to assert themselves over a long persistence aromatic. Revealing a concentrated structure with ripe tannins and silky. 14% ABV.

Weingut Dr. Heyden 2011 Oppenheimer Pinot Noir Reserve Qualitatswein Rheinhessen                                             22.95

Tasting Notes - A wine with a dark brick red and intense bouquet of blackberries and dark mossy forest floor. Toasty, soft and round, it is fruity in body, tight and firm stature. An expressive, sustainable and distinctive-tasting red wine. 13% ABV.

Renner 2010 Zweigelt Burgendland Austria                   $15.95

Tasting Notes -  Pure minimalism. Intensive cherries and a great fruit mixed with spicy attributes in the nose as well as on the palate.13% ABV.

C. Von Nell-Breuning 1994 Kaseler Dominikanerberg Riesling Auslese Mosel                                                                    $29.95

WE 90 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - "If there were such a thing as a hall of fame of German vineyards, the Bernkasteler Doctor would be top of the list, no doubt", Jancis Robinson. "Part of a single-vineyard library release, this 21-year-old Auslese offers a unique chance to taste through Riesling's longevity. Perceivable sweetness, along with fruit, has receded substantially, leaving an intensely mineral driven wine in its place. Fresh lemony acidity persists, however, suggesting a glimmer of tart peach and apple flavors on the finish." 8% ABV.
