95 pts Wine Spectator "Offers terrific aromas of strawberry, currant and medicinal herbs, revealing hints of anise, tobacco and earth, all backed by a firm, vibrant structure. Stays focused and long, with a succulent finish."
92 pts Wine Enthusiast "Aromas of wild berry, savory herb, menthol and toast lead the nose. The vibrant palate delivers crunchy red cherry, eucalyptus, sage and cooking spice alongside youthfully assertive tannins and brisk acidity. It closes on a licorice note."
Fattoria La Fiorita was established in 1992 by Roberto Cipresso, one of the world’s most influential winemakers. Cipresso originally made a name for himself in Montalcino as a wine consultant at Case Basse, Poggio Antico and Ciacci Piccolomini, in addition to Achaval Ferrer in Argentina. He started La Fiorita with only 0.5 ha of vineyards and a small cellar in the basement of an 18th century building in the medieval town of Castelnuovo Abate.
Overtime, Cipresso purchased the prime regions for growing Sangiovese in Montalcino and increased the annual production of both the Brunello Normale and Riserva. In 2011, actress and wine fanatic Natalie Oliveros joined forces with Cipresso to take La Fiorita to the highest quality level. The duo moved to a new cellar with state of the art equipment and are currently working on a new project.
