WA 92 WS 92 Pts - According to Robert Parker - Lagier Meredith’s 2012 Syrah from Mount Veeder is terrific. Spicy and meaty, with hints of underbrush, bacon fat/lard, black raspberry and black cherry, as well as blackcurrant fruit with licorice and tar, this is a medium to full-bodied Syrah that this winery excels at year after year. Can be drunk now, or cellared for another 8-10 years.
According to Wine Spectator - A dense, muscular Syrah, intensely tannic and chewy, with a tight core of beefy, peppery wild berry, dried herb and savory flavors that are vibrant and compelling. This is very tight and closed, ending with chewy tannins. Best from 2018 through 2028. 14.5% ABV.
