According to Wine Advocate - "The 2012 Las Rocas is produced with selected Garnacha grapes from high-altitude vineyards on slate and stony soils. 20% of the wine matured for six months in oak barrels. It's quite perfumed and aromatic, with a nose dominated by red fruit notes, and a medium-bodied palate with some fine tannins that should be perfect with barbecued lamb chops. "
According to Wine Spectator - "Cherry and berry flavors are ripe but fresh in this lively red. Crisp acidity and a leafy note balance the sweet fruit and vanilla, while light tannins impart backbone. Drink now through 2018."
Tasting Notes - "Opaque purple colour. Fruits of the forest and mineral bouquets. It has a splendid perfume of spices, lavender, kirsch and blueberry. Complex, with a great texture and a very rich & long finish."
