Tasting Notes - "The 2012 Lo Nuevo Vilata is fragrant with earth, mineral, and floral notes, and a touch of sweet concentrated balsamic and spice in the nose. Rich layers of dark fruits, brier and blueberry are displayed on the palate with savory, layered smooth tannins." 14% ABV.
"The Label - Tiny, stone buildings, some very old, are found throughout this vineyard region and used for protection from the elements by the families who tend the vines. "Vilata" was the name given to one such shelter by a longtime grower family and we loved the lyrical sound of the word. The image represents the elements of Jumilla - marble, chalk, wind, sky, and wine. It is also our tribute to the modern renaissance in Spain's wine industry that encourages a new freedom of expression in wine styles and methods of production."
