According to Wine Enthusiast - This is from Rubissow, and it’s a nice wine for the price. Essentially a Bordeaux blend with a splash of Syrah, it’s rich and satisfying in blackberry, cassis, mocha, bacon and pepper flavors, with a coating of sweet oak. Lovely now with anything from a nice steak to a beef burrito.
Lola Kay 2010 Red was awarded a prestigious GOLD MEDAL at the Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition. In the Red Blend Category only one other Napa Blend received this honor.
Tasting Notes - The wine opens with a crescendo of black cherry, cedar, mocha and vanilla bean. Then things really get interesting as the flavors open up into an array of classic claret notes: lavender, rosemary, sweet mint, rich dark cherry, dusty earth, blackberry bramble and cocoa. 14.2% ABV.
