Wine Enthusiast Review
Rose, iris, red-berry and cake-spice aromas set the tone on this graceful red. It's linear, bright and loaded with finesse, evoking red cherry, crushed strawberry, star anise and pink peppercorn alongside taut, polished tannins and bright acidity. Drink 2023-2033.
This is firm, lending an austere feel to the cherry, berry, licorice and leather flavors. Overall, this is juicy and delicate, finishing long and pleasantly astringent, with a lingering hint of white pepper. Best from 2019 through 2032.
Wine Tasting Notes
Garnet color with slight orange reflections, a shade or two deeper than the Brunate;. La Serra's bouquet is typical of the La Serra cru, intense floral notes of rose, violet petals, and mountain flowers, creat an ethereal and appealing bouquet. The wine is dry and sturdy on the palate, austere yet velvety, and extremely well-balanced.
