WS 88 WE 88 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - This round red offers cherry, plum, leafy, licorice and smoke notes that mingle harmoniously over modest tannins. Balanced and focused. Drink now through 2018.
According to Robert Parker - A straightforward, easy-going Rioja, the 2010 Crianza exhibits soft strawberry and cherry notes intermixed with notions of roasted herbs and dusty, loamy soil. This solidly made, medium-bodied red is dominated by its Tempranillo component (85%). The balance is 15% Grenacha, and the wine is aged 22 months in French oak and two years in bottle prior to being released. It is meant to be consumed over the next several years.
According to Wine Enthusiast - Black fruits, earth notes and a hint of toast create a subtle, inviting nose. In the mouth, this is chunky but balanced, with mild tannins. Cassis and plum are the lead flavors, and the finish is mellow and fleshy in feel, with a certain lazy ease to it. 13.5% ABV.
