WS 90 AG 90 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - Cherry and black currant notes meld with the juicy texture in this supple Barbera. Pure and elegant, with fine harmony and a lingering aftertaste of fruit and spice. Drink now through 2017.
According to Antonio Galloni - Massolino's 2012 Barbera d'Alba is fabulous. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries, mint and cinnamon jump from the glass. Floral, expressive and exuberant, yet also totally classic in its sense of proportion, the 2012 is simply fabulous.
According to Wine Advocate - The 2012 Barbera d'Alba exhibits more acidity as well as slightly more hints of tomato skin, red berries, earth and incense. It is, again, a naked Barbera which, like the Dolcetto, is aged in tank and bottled early to preserve its freshness and fruit. The less expensive low-end wines from this excellent producer in Piedmont have revealed two reds that come from the highly prestigious sub-viticultural region of Serralunga. 14.5% ABV. Rated 90+
