Vinous 93 Pts - According to Josh Raynolds - Opaque ruby. Pungent, smoke-accented aromas of blackcurrant, cherry compote, succulent herbs and licorice, with a pungent floral overtone. Expansive and spicy in the mouth, with zesty acidity giving spine and lift to fleshy dark fruit and spicecake flavors. Finishes very long and smooth, with sneaky tannins coming in late and melding with the wine's densely packed dark fruit.
Winemakers Notes - "Sweet fruit on the front end, blackberry, smoke, dark chocolate, leather, wet stone, mint, sweet tobacco, silky texture, elevated mouth feel with cured meat on the finish." 79 % Syrah, 13 % Grenache, 8% Mourvedre. 15.2% ABV.
