Product Description

AG (90-92) IWC 90 Pts - According to Antonio Galloni - "Dark red cherries, plums, tobacco, flowers and sweet spices are some of the many notes that emerge from the 2012 Zinfandel Papera Ranch Vineyard. Here it is the wine's expressive aromatics and overall balance that stand out most. This is a gorgeous and hugely appealing wine. A dollop of Carignane (3%) in this site seems to add nuance and an element of sweetness that is undeniably attractive."

According to International Wine Cellar - "Saturated ruby. Ripe cherry and blackberry on the perfumed nose, with suggestions of allspice, sandalwood and cracked pepper adding complexity. Offers juicy dark berry and bitter cherry flavors that slowly gain sweetness with air, picking up a floral pastille nuance and a touch of bitter chocolate. In a relatively lithe style, with strong finishing cut, gentle tannins and very good, spicy persistence. By Novy standards this is a pretty low-octane, elegant wine; it's also delicious now." 14.7% ABV.

Complex Papera ranch Zin, with a finish that's all over the field.

Spicy sweet smooth black cherry and blue fruit. Smooth zin but finish is all over the place with spice, sandalwood and some citrus. Acidity non-existent. A powerful Zinfandel with a fun ride.
