WA 96 WE 94 WS 93 Vinous 93 JS 91 Pts - According to Robert Parker - "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc) is a near perfect, glorious example of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from an absolutely magnificent vintage. The scary thing is that 2013 might be not only as good, but better. The color is dense ruby/purple and the wine shows classic crème de cassis notes along with some floral underpinnings, deep raspberry and a touch on minerality. Good crisp acidity provides focus and uplift through this wine’s other exuberant and concentrated component parts. This is a stunner, and a classic Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink over the next 15 or so years. This is one of the new, hot, fashionable and much-watched small estates just off the Silverado Trail in Stag’s Leap. My first impressions were exceptional. Of the two Cabernets, one is the reserve and the other their standard offering. Tucked into the dramatic palisades of the Stags Leap District, sits Odette Estate on 45 voluptuous acres. As the newest addition to the beloved region, Odette looks to serve as a “breath of fresh air” to the historic District. Contemporary architecture and design, paired with a contemporary stance on environmental responsibility, Odette is symbolic of the future of Stags Leap."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "Chocolate-cherry and mocha fill the air and palate in this densely delicious inaugural offering from a new estate, set in the heart of the appellation. At this sister property of the PlumpJack and Cade wineries, with the same owners, there’s no skimping on quality. The wine is medium in weight and lengthy, subtle in oak and integrated tannin, with a lovely finish."
According to Wine Searcher - "Aims high, delivering a potent, tightly focused core of mocha-laced dark berry, cedar, vanilla, licorice and dried, savory herb. Gains weight, depth and length as the momentum builds. Drink now through 2028."
According to Antonio Galloni - "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous Stags' Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, with an extra kick of aromatic lift from the healthy presence of Cabernet Franc (11%) in the blend. Bright, saline and beautifully delineated in the glass, the 2012 impresses for its energy and nuance. Dark red cherries, raspberries, mint and crushed rocks are laced into the expressive finish."
According to James Suckling - "A soft and juicy red with blackberry and chocolate character. Full and round tannins. Drink now." 15.2% ABV.
