WS 94 IWC 93 WE 93 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - This open-textured, inviting and focused red layers ripe currant, blueberry and spice flavors on a well-mannered frame, coming together harmoniously on the long and expressive finish. Stylish and impressive. Best from 2016 through 2022.
According to International Wine Cellar - Brilliant red. Aromas of black raspberry, mocha, spicecake and cola, with a bright mineral nuance adding urgency and lift. Palate-staining cherry-cola and red berry flavors show a deft blend of power and energy while picking up smoke and floral pastille qualities. Closes on a gently tannic note, with excellent clarity and length, leaving suave spice and candied rose notes behind.
According to Wine Enthusiast - The winery’s reserve-level bottling, this has the extra concentration to warrant the designation. Tart young berry/cherry fruit carries the brunt of the midpalate. The barrel treatment is delicately balanced, bringing in nuances of toast, coconut and almond. Very well made, and cellarworthy. Drink now through 2025.14.1% ABV.
