Product Description

WA (90-92) Pts - According to the Wine Advocate - The 2012s barrel samples I tasted include the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa, an inky/purple-colored wine with loads of flowery black currant fruit, sweet tannins and a slightly more generous, fleshier, fatter mid-palate and finish than the 2010's. It will last 15+ years.

According to Wine Enthusiast - Smooth, soft, rounded tannins envelop a taste of dried cranberry and bacon, giving a sense of gamy goodness. Robust in weight and power, it continues the theme with leathery girth, especially on the finish.

Tasting Notes - Swirling with layered aromas of fresh red raspberry, blackberry pie and ripe cassis, this deep ruby wine enraptures the senses with fragrant dried violet, gingersnap, dark cocoa and sweet basil impressions. Plush and exuberant, the palate opens with red cherry, juicy boysenberry and red plum fruits that intermingle with hints of cinnamon stick and graham cracker pie crust. The complex array of flavors lasts through the lingering finish, framed by velvety tannins and echoes of cherry cordial and roasted espresso bean. 14.2% ABV.

    Black currant, cassis, baking spice.

Solid cab! Loads of black currant and blackberry fruit, leather, chocolate, cassis, with crushed rocks and baking spice on the finish. Tannic, young and lots of oak. Should add a point or two in four to five years.
