Winemakers Notes - "Bright red and black fruit aromas reminiscent of Bing cherries and cassis pop from the glass. The ample mid palate is framed in chewy yet fine tannins which resolve nicely with flavors of black berry fruits. The extraordinary balance of elements of mid-palate, acid and tannin structure make for a versatile wine for pairing with an array of cuisines. The 2012 Griffin is a blend of 47% Calistoga Merlot, 35% Petite Sirah, 9% Charbono, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Petit Verdot." 15.5% ABV.
