WS 90 AG (89-91) Pts - According to Wine Spectator - "Pleasant, firm, rich and deftly balanced, this offers a mix of ripe dark berry, cedary oak and black licorice flavors, leading to a long, pure finish that tightens toward the end. Drink now through 2024."
According to Antonio Galloni - "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Label is quite pretty. Savory herbs, cinnamon, smoke, licorice and plum meld together nicely in the glass. There are no hard edges in this supple, inviting Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years."
According to Stephen Tanzer - "Good red-ruby. Plum, redcurrant and nutty oak aromas are lifted by a spicy topnote. Offers good intensity and a creamy texture to its red berry and mint flavors. Finishes with serious but ripe tannins. These vines were planted in 1989."
Winemakers Notes - "2012 is the inaugural vintage of the Turley Cabernet. The wine has pure, ripe, deeply red Napa Cabernet fruit, rounded out by the savory herbs and garrigue that are the marks of our Estate vineyards. Medium-bodied, with great structure and a solid backbone, which will allow it to age for some time (if you must). However, with its inviting texture and supple, well-integrated tannins, the wine is exceedingly approachable in its youth." 14.1% ABV.
