Petite Sirah

2 Item(s)

Petite Sirah (Peh-teet See-rah) despite its name tends to be a big wine with a dark inky appearance and high tannins. Petite Sirah is believed to be the same as a lesser-known Rhone grape called Durif. Petite Sirah, which can also spell as, Petite Syrah or Petit Sirah, is commonly used in blending but has found a following domestically as an individual variety. This grape is often described as having lush fruit, hints of pepper, and a herbaceous quality, which may temper if aged, which this grape is more than qualified to do.
