Tasting Notes: dark cherries, plum, and raspberry, are some of the many fruit notes that wrap around the palate in this fleshy, beautiful resonant barbaresco, in 2012 Starderi is rich and ample with terrific balance and plenty of class
JS93 James Suckling - "A solid wine for the vintage with blueberry, rose-leaf and fresh-herb aromas and flavors. Full body with firm, chewy tannins and a long, structured finish. Needs at least three to four years to soften: Give it time."
V92 Vinous / Antonio Galloni - "The 2012 Barbaresco Vigneto Starderi is the most dense and inward of these wines. Kirsch, menthol, raspberry, orange zest, flowers and white peppers all take shape in the glass, but only with some reluctance. Still, the 2012 looks like a wine that will offer its best drinking over the next handful of years, as it doesn't have the breadth and power of the best Starderis. "
