Decanter Magazine Review
Rated 94
A blend of grapes from Costabella, Cerretta, Damiano and Brolio, red berries and liquorice root are followed by orange peel and rhubarb, with a minty, milky sweetness. Not quite full bodied, the palate is velvety and youthful, with grainy yet ripe tannins, firm acidity and good concentration of very resplendent red fruit. Freshness, balance and refinement will keep this for the long haul, even if it's not particularly concentrated. Drinking Window 2021-2040..
Wine Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red color. The nose is intense and complex with charming scents of cherry liqueur, violet, star anise, dried leaves and blueberries. On the palate it is well-structured and well-balanced, with smooth tannins and a very long finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Ideal with braised meat, game and aged cheese. Excellent also with truffle based dishes.
100% Nebbiolo
