Finding the best parts of each area of Mendoza, the warm and the cool, the lower elevation and higher elevation, it's juicy in supple red fruit and juicy at its core, a tremendously impressive and delicious wine from Paul Hobbs and his team. Intense notes of blackberry, cherry, and black tea entice the nose, before hints of black pepper and smoke rise from this saturated, inky purple cabernet sauvignon. The richly textured palate brings black cherry, milk chocolate, rose petal jam and subtle clove tones supported by firm, velvety tannins.
