The 2022 Malbec Appellation Lunlunta is a departure from its appellation companions, floral in rose and violet with shocks of black and white pepper. From a vineyard planted in the early 1920s, it has layers of texture and length, with underlying structure that keeps the medium-bodied power graceful in the glass. Age through 2037. Drink Date: 2025-2037.

The Catena Zapata Appellation Lunlunta Malbec shows a deep violet color with purple reflections. The nose offers concentrated aromas of ripe red and dark fruits with traces of vanilla and mocha. The mouthfeel is rich and concentrated, with blueberries and blackberries notes and a touch of leather and cinnamon. The finish presents well integrated supple tannins with a flinty minerality that gives the wine exceptional length.
