Jeb Dunnuck Review
Rated 97
Now at 15 years after the vintage, the 2007 Châteauneuf Du Pape is firmly in its prime drink window and is just about overflowing with character. Sweet black raspberries, red plums, incense, herbes de Provence, leather, and lavender all carry incredible intensity and richness, and this gives way to a full-bodied Beaucastel with the classic 2007 opulence and sexiness. Sweet tannins, full-bodied richness, and a singular character all define this magical Châteauneuf du Pape that will continue evolving for another two decades. Don't let that discourage you, though, it's drinking at point today. Drinking Window 2023-2043.

Wine Tasting Notes
Magnificent deep-red color with purple undertones. Both subtle and of great aromatic richness, the nose reveals a very nice balance between the maturity and freshness of the fruit and superb notes of fresh fruit and spices. Very elegant, ample, and silky on the palate, it opens up with a spicy attack with aromas of "garrigue" and then reveals, as on the nose, a perfect balance between its beautiful tannic richness and its delicate roundness. The very long finish suggests great potential.

Grenache: 30%, Mourvedre: 30%, Vaccarese, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc, Roussanne: 15%, Counoise: 10%, Syrah: 10%, Cinsault: 5%

How to Serve Liquor – Quick Tips

How to Serve Liquor – Quick Tips
  • Temperature Matters: Serve whiskey and bourbon at room temperature, vodka chilled, and tequila slightly cool to preserve aroma and balance.
  • Choose the Right Glass: Use a rocks glass for whiskey, a flute or coupe for sparkling spirits, and a tulip or snifter for aged liquors.
  • Don’t Rush the Pour: Allow spirits to breathe for a few moments before tasting — it softens alcohol notes and opens complex flavors.
  • Savor with Intention: Sip slowly, appreciate aroma before taste, and pair thoughtfully with food or fine company.
