Wine Advocate Review Rated 94+ Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills opens with savory notions of leather, graphite and tobacco with a core of red and blue berry fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with concentrated, incredibly spicy flavor layers, firm and super fresh, and it finishes very long and flavorful. Give it another 2-3 years in bottle. Drink 2020-2027.
Wine Tasting Notes The Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is opulent, ripe and structured, a superb combination of full flavor, intensity, and backbone. Its color is beautifully deep and concentrated. Subtle floral notes of lilac and rose petal lead into complex aromas of earth, black cherries, cranberry, black tea, allspice and clove. Full bodied and harmonious, the mid palate is layered with sweet, supple fruit and flavors of pomegranate and cherry. Although young, I find extraordinary balance already between the fine tannins and bright, energizing lift of vibrant red fruit and acidity. This is a wine that will be exciting to follow as it passes the 5, 10 and 15 year marks.
