James Suckling Review
A refined, delicious red with sliced-berry, chocolate and walnut aromas and flavors. Medium body. Creamy and delicious. Drink now.
VinoUS Media Review
Deep, vivid red. Fresh dark berry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by notes of vanilla, cola and smoky minerals. Sappy and well-concentrated yet graceful, with pliant boysenberry and black raspberry flavors that show no rough edges. Finishes gently sweet, smooth and long, leaving spice and candied lavender notes behind. Drinking Window 2022-2028. (Josh Raynolds on March 2021)
Wine Tasting Notes
La Cartuja is a single-vineyard wine that represents the authentic identity and flavors of Priorat, made only from native varieties. The wine is made in an approachable style to be enjoyed young while preserving the minerality and explosive blue fruit that is the hallmark of all Priorat reds.
