How long will it take for my order to process?
We require a 1-3 business day window, not including holidays or weekends, to process all orders. During warm weather conditions, because of potential heat exposure, we will hold purchased wines at no additional cost until temperature condition are more suitable for shipping. Therefore, selecting a shipping option of Next day, 2nd Day or 3-Day Select only represents the minumum business days that the package will be in transit. During warm weather, we will hold orders until conditions improve.
Why do I need to verify the information I provided?
For first time customers, we may need to verify the information you provide to insure order authenticity. If this is the case we will attempt to contact you as soon as possible. Please Note: We will NOT ship out any order until we are able to verify it is authentic.
Why can’t I ship to a PO Box or APO/FPO address?
Recipient MUST by law sign for delivery. A valid picture ID must be provided. When your wine is delivered to you, you will be required to show identification proving that you are at least 21 years old. All orders legally require: Drivers License, Military, Passport, or State ID.
If recipient is found to be under the age of 21, all packages will be returned to us. No refund will be allowed.
How will the bottles be packaged for shipment? Is there a possibility of breakage?
One of our top priorities is to ensure that all packages arrive to our customers undamaged and in perfect condition. Depending on the size of the product ordered (wine bottle, spirits, half bottle etc.) we use Styrofoam casing, bubble wrap, and/or packing peanuts to ensure safe travels. However, when shipping a fragile item, there is always the possibility of breakage that may occur during transit.
What happens if I’m not home to receive my delivery?
Carrier will make three attempts to deliver the package, after the third and final attempt the package will be held up to 3 days at the Carrier warehouse.
If the package is unable to be received and should return back to our warehouse, we can re-ship the package when it returns (with a re-shipping fee) or process a refund for the returned product. The original shipping charge will Not be refunded.
If a customer should request a package be redirected/rerouted to an alternate address, the customer agrees pay the appropriate service fees for the Shipping Carrier for the requested service.
Although we are usually able to ship your order within a business day, occasionally demand for limited supplies will deplete our stock of a particular product. If this is the case, the item will be placed on backorder and we will notify you via e-mail. If you would like to receive the item when it becomes available, your credit card will be charged for the item only when it is shipped.
Fedex shipping is only available in the State of California.
At this time NapaCabs has no licensed shipping carriers available to the following states: GA, IA, IL, MA, MI, NV, NH, ND, UT, VA, and WV

NO Distilled Spirits shipped outside the State of California.
Napacabs does not collect, regulate nor have knowledge of any applicable taxes or tariffs that may be added by your destination country. The Federal Express International shipping charge paid upon placing your order is only for shipping, handling, packaging and insurance and does not include any foreign excise duty or tax. You will be responsible for any such fees paid COD upon delivery in your Country. We recommend that you consult with your local Government authority regarding any license, quantity limits and permits required; and any applicable taxes, fees or tariffs due and payable by you upon delivery.
Shipments of Wine
The purchaser of all alcoholic beverages is representing that he/she is acting in compliance with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered. All wines are sold in CA, and title passes to the buyer in CA. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of CA. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage Fedex or any other shipper to deliver your order to you.
Insurance is charged to all shipping orders over $100. We charge $1.00 for every $100 for merchandise shipped. Insurance only covers breakage during transport and not any other problems that occur during transport.
Risk of Loss
All items purchased from NapaCabs.com are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
Any combination of 12 bottles or more from this Category. Eligible wines will display "This Item Qualifies For Mix & Match Free Shipping On 12" and with a "Free Shipping" label displaying in the top right of product image. Add 12 or more of any combination and get Free Shipping. Any other products added to your order will have a separate shipping charge. Free shipping method is valid for domestic shipments only.* Please note that free shipping will be for Ground Shipping. All Free Shipping discounts, will still be charged the cost of shipping insurance and packaging.
RETURNS BY CONSUMERS TO RETAILERS
Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control:
Returns by Consumers to Retailers Returns of all types of alcoholic beverages by consumers to sellers were once ruled to be illegal under both State and federal law. In 1961, the Federal Government approved the return by consumers of alcoholic beverages which were spoiled, deteriorated, contaminated, or otherwise unfit for human consumption. This approval was made on the condition that there would be a bottle-for-bottle exchange or cash refund for the unsatisfactory merchandise. It was necessary for a consumer to bring back a partially emptied bottle or a bottle which clearly showed deterioration of the product, such as sediment, to qualify for the refund. The Department adopted the federal policy that same year. Later, the Department modified its approval to the extent that other types of alcoholic beverages could he exchanged for those which were unfit for human consumption. A consumer may also make an exchange or receive a refund on an item purchased in error if the unopened container is returned to the seller. The advertising of "money-back guarantees" is specifically disapproved, however. A consumer cannot overbuy for a party and then return any of the unused alcoholic beverages. Neither can the recipient of a gift exchange it for other merchandise or be given a credit, because the recipient is not returning alcoholic beverages; if the retailer gave anything of value for the beverages, the retailer would be buying from other than a wholesaler. Sales to consumers are final except as previously set forth. The Department and federal law agree in this respect. (Sec. 25600(a)(2)).
