Rated 93-95
Another wine that's just about to be bottled is the 2020 Todos, which is a final blend of 57% Syrah, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petite Sirah, 6% Cabernet Franc, and the rest a mix of varieties. Ripe blueberries, fresh plums, chocolate, and peppery notes all define the nose, and it's full-bodied, with a plush, rounded texture, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It should be a no-brainer purchase.
Wine Tasting Notes
Jonata TODOS Ballard Canyon Red Blend showcases a captivating blend of incense, Nag Champa fragrance, bidis, clove, cigar, black and red licorice. It exudes a dark and brooding character with hints of sweet blackberries, blueberries, cinnamon, baking spice, black figs, and cracked white pepper. The 2013 Todos is reminiscent of its power and breadth. Currently, it presents a salty and tight profile, with a spicy and dark allure. The wine boasts a lovely depth of fruit, with tannins that gradually build on the palate and envelop the entire mouth. It is a bundle of fruit encased in a complex structure that will greatly benefit from decanting or a few years of cellaring.
