Incredible complexity is given to this wine from low yielding vines planted in Coombsville's volcanic soils. The cool temperature terroir allows for longer hang-time on the vine, allowing us to pick our fruit later than any other AVA in the valley. With long maturation comes longer tannin chains and advanced flavor development. The 2016 vintage is modern legend for good reason, we were left with some of the best fruit we'd ever pulled from this area. 5 barrels produced in 2016, aged 4+ years in 40% new french oak.
