From first-class parcels and vinified in traditional fuders, the 2021 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett - 6 - opens with perfectly ripe and sun-soaked fruit aromas, representing golden-yellow, thin-skinned and even transparent Riesling berries as well as a refined slate aroma. Very delicate! The palate is pure, refined and crystalline, balancing perfectly ripe and elegant fruit with delicate acidity and a mineral fundament. The finish is stimulatingly pure and salty. This is one of the finest No. 6 bottlings I have tasted from Christian Hermann, and it's certainly one of the most remarkable Kabinett Rieslings you can buy from the 2021 vintage. 8.5% alcohol.
