Leading off the 2020 barrel samples, the 2020 Grenache Head Held High is 77% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, and smaller amounts of Syrah and white varieties. It saw 51% whole clusters and will spend 20 months in barrel. It's a full-bodied, concentrated, powerful wine that has more dark fruits, licorice, scorched earth, and chocolate aromatics, and it reminds me of a great Châteauneuf du Pape from Mordorée. It's going to keep for 15+ years.
