The 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards works better on the nose than Les Roncerets, with more cohesion, brighter fruit and greater focus. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, actually quite Pommard-like toward the finish, with a lovely sous-bois aftertaste. Promising. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.
