Wine Tasting Notes
The Cabernet Franc has a carmine color of medium depth and garnet hues. The aroma is classic Cabernet Franc with nuances of pencil shavings, cedar and juniper. Black currants and cassis add depth and complexity to the aromas. Our Cabernet Franc spends only eight months in oak but that is all the time that is required to add a bit of vanilla to the bouquet and round out the wines youthful edges. The flavors are of succulent black cherry and zesty red fruits much more reminiscent of Chinon than Bordeaux. This medium bodied wine has soft integrated tannins and a long toasted oak finish.
