In 1974, 1.94 acres on Quail Hill Vineyard were planted with the Swan Clone on Saint George's rootstock. In the Old World, older vines are revered for the depth of their root systems, which literally soak up the terroir and provide a complexity and ageability not found in wines from younger vines. We have crafted a single cuvee from these old Pinot Noir vines on our home estate - a bottled tribute to their fascinating complexity, purity and elegance.
