A wine where red currents and a bright cherry-chocolate cordial fruit dominate the aromas, overlaid with highlights of blackberry, red peppercorns, clove, and cinnamon. On the palate the fruit pops; dense, lush, and silky. The intensity of the fruit is balanced with deeper base notes of black pepper and tobacco leaf. The tannins are exquisitely supple for a wine of this age.
