Description

Wine Advocate Review
Rated 94+
The 2022 The Steading is juicy, fleshy and aromatically abundant. It is routinely a reliably satisfying wine, and it has been ever since I started drinking wine. Framed by this fine, fresh, late vintage, the Steading looks better than ever, with raspberry, licorice, mulberry, star anise and a hint of aniseed. Super! 15% alcohol, sealed under natural cork and wax. Drinking Window 2024-2037.

Wine Tasting Notes
Torbreck The Steading Barossa Valley Red reveals lifted aromas of dried red currant, pomegranate and mulberry. The spice aromas entice, such as clove, star anise, dried cinnamon bark, and then earthy notes intertwine. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a dense core of plush red and blue-berried fruits whilst leaning towards the savoury side. Firm tannins envelope the mouth to salivate the drinkers' palate. This vintage of Steading is indicative of the harvest from low yielding old bush vines that produced high quality wines. Pair with game meats poultry or Chinese roast pork. Enjoy at its best from 5-20 years

How to Serve Liquor – Quick Tips

How to Serve Liquor – Quick Tips
  • Temperature Matters: Serve whiskey and bourbon at room temperature, vodka chilled, and tequila slightly cool to preserve aroma and balance.
  • Choose the Right Glass: Use a rocks glass for whiskey, a flute or coupe for sparkling spirits, and a tulip or snifter for aged liquors.
  • Don’t Rush the Pour: Allow spirits to breathe for a few moments before tasting — it softens alcohol notes and opens complex flavors.
  • Savor with Intention: Sip slowly, appreciate aroma before taste, and pair thoughtfully with food or fine company.
